While I worked hard to stay on track, and follow the grand plan to success and happiness, I discovered that sometimes life has other plans for you. Graduating from university with a business degree, I thought worst case scenario would be a job in finance, working for a technology company; and as you may have guessed it my first job was in finance in a technology company. Little did I know that it was not the worst case scenario and that I actually really enjoyed being part of the technology industry. My subsequent roles and a rather unusual career path are proof that sometimes skipping the plans and taking advantage of opportunities to learn and grow can also be a great path to success and happiness. I have worked in operations, technical support, and account management and have supported online communities in different ways. Growing up wondering what will I be, I did not think I was going to be all these cool things, which will probably no longer exist as I reach the end of my career.
Through my blog, I hope to share some of my experiences and give you the courage to embrace the unknown.
